Right. Some background, since it keeps coming up.

They handed me a blue sphere and asked me to hold it for the photo. Nobody said how long the photo would take. That was several years ago and the sphere is still here and so am I, and at this point letting go would raise more questions than it answers.

It is warm. That is the part people never guess. Everyone assumes I am suffering in here. I am not. I have my tail over the top, one paw underneath, and a temperature that has never once dropped.

Nothing dramatic. I just become a normal dog lying next to a ball, and then the whole shape stops meaning anything, and someone has to redraw it.

So I keep my paws where they are. It is the least I can do.

Between 4am and roughly noon I do close my eyes, and people take that as some sort of scandal. The grip does not change. The shape does not change. I am simply asleep inside my own job.

been reading this thread since page 6. never posted. just wanted to say the sphere looks warm and i think about that a lot
